What the evidence currently says
The Speed-specific research base is still comparatively small, but it now includes competition time-motion studies, biomechanical motion analysis, force-velocity profiling, predictor studies and large video datasets. Recurring themes are that power matters, coordinated movement matters, trajectory and route phases can be measured, and no single athlete trait explains performance.
Three evidence labels
Direct Speed Evidence comes from Speed athletes, events or route-specific testing. Broader Climbing Evidence comes from lead, bouldering or mixed climbing populations and is used only when transfer is reasonable and disclosed. Emerging/Limited Evidence identifies new, small or weakly replicated areas where strong prescriptions would outrun the research.

It will not turn correlations into guaranteed training outcomes, manufacture benchmark tables from tiny samples, treat one expert opinion as consensus, or borrow bouldering findings without labeling the transfer. Injury pages will not substitute for medical diagnosis or rehabilitation guidance.
How the evidence layer connects to the site
The Technique cluster can now point to movement and biomechanics evidence. Training can point to power, reaction and testing evidence.
